Joe Parente has spent more than 30 years building a career in live entertainment as a pianist, performer, musical director and booking professional. Born in British Columbia, Joe began playing piano at age five and went on to perform throughout Canada and internationally.
Known professionally as “Joey Keys,” Joe developed a reputation for energetic, audience-focused performances, including extensive work aboard Carnival Cruise Lines. His career has since taken him through hotels, private events, corporate functions, weddings and a wide range of live entertainment settings.

Earlier in his career, Joe spent several years working as a talent booking agent with Vancouver-based Siegel Entertainment. That experience gave him first-hand insight into representing performers, working with buyers and venues, and managing the details that turn an inquiry into a successful event.
Joe has continued booking and connecting artists with opportunities throughout his career, including private events, hotels and special functions. His experience on both sides of the relationship gives him a practical understanding of what performers need and what venues and clients expect from the talent they hire.
As a performer, Joe works across a broad range of styles including Italian, Latin, pop, jazz, crooner, R&B, rock and classical music. Whether performing solo, as a duo or with his Legato Music ensemble, he understands how important it is to match the right entertainment with the room, the audience and the occasion.
